Quartz is often found in crystal form and is the most often sought after for its natural beauty and its healing or crystal properties. The quartz stone family is extremely large and varied. Quartz may be found worldwide including many Canadian locations.  

Artists created this beautiful crackled quartz. A quartz specimen is slowly heated, then quickly submerged into cold dye (coloured crackle quartz) or cold water (clear/white crackled quartz). This causes the stone to fissure internally, and the dye is able to enter the stone and colour just the crackles. Due to these internal fissures, crackle quartz stones are very fragile and should be given extra care.

Quartz is the stone used most often for meditation, it is said to receive, activate, store, transmit and amplify energy.
